Jessamyn Writes About Reading Sites in Her Aggregator

Jessamyn focuses on the design of sites and how they appear in her aggregator. She can read some sites easier in her aggregator, but she knows she’s missing important design elements on some sites, too. She thinks there’s a shift happening as people decide to design their site for better syndication instead of site visitors.

Addendum 1/30: Now that I’ve thought about this, I realize that I often have to decide between posting items in an order suitable for this RSS feed or in an order suitable for my blog. Two of today’s posts are good examples of this. Is it better to put Hoarding Information or Disseminating Information first? They’ll go one way on the blog and the opposite way in people’s aggregators. I think whichever way I think is better, that’s how I should put them on my blog. Theoretically, they’ll only be in someone’s aggregator for a little while, but they’ll be on my blog (barring technical difficulties or my handy delete button) for considerably longer.
