Sexy Librarian Allusions in Photo Caption
A solo librarian posted this photo caption to an e-mail discussion list today, which started a very brief conversation about men’s librarian fantasies:
“Liv Tyler’s librarian glasses were a big hit among men celebrating at the ‘Lord of the Rings’ post-Oscar party.”
The small, black, ovular frames are kinda snazzy.
Speaking of glasses, I went to a librarian meeting last week and got teased when I first arrived ’cause I was the only one there who wasn’t wearing glasses. I put on my sport sunglasses, which happen to be the ones I wear when I hike and mountain bike so they look funny, and everyone just laughed. I tried to reassure them that in a few years, I would need glasses, but that didn’t help. Glassesism among librarians.
Addendum 3/10: My favorite ophthalmic technician happened to find this post on my blog and offered to send me a pair of glasses so I wouldn’t be teased anymore. Of course, I immediately had to ask him if he had a thing for librarians in glasses. He replied, “No.” I’m not sure I believe him. (Maybe he just wants to stare deep into my eyes while he figures out my prescription.)
