Blog Name Changes
Don’t worry: this blog’s real name is j’s scratchpad. It might masquerade as another blog on occasion, but it’s sure to return to it’s real name eventually. I play with my name as jokes for some of my readers and to keep some of you on your toes.
My recent change, to j’s pluff mud, came after an exchange with another blogger about how blogging is like pluff mud. Pluff mud is what some people in certain regions of the southeastern United States call that thick black mud in marshes. You have to be careful where you step because you can sink in up to your ankles or knees or worse and sometimes, it’ll suck shoes off feet when you try to climb out.
When this blogger and I blog, sometimes we start out doing something specific, maybe making a short blog post, and before we know it, we’re stuck in our blogs and end up writing several blog posts and going off on several trips around the Internet while time, hours, days just evaporate.
