A Hawk Visits Briefly
My balcony has a nice dusting of snow, as does the railing. A hawk just flew up and sat there facing me. She was incredible against the pale gray of the sky behind her and the white snow around her. She made loud noises like a dog whimpering.
When am I going to learn to bring a camera with me to work?
And in the time it took me to write this blog entry, she vanished.
The talon marks in the snow … wow.

Webcam? I can see it now, “The Harvard Hawk-cam” — millions of hits a day! Do it!

Hey… this is kind of cool. I’m using Radio’s news aggragator, and it lets me post comments without trekking over to your actual Harvard page, or leaving my own weblog… which I’ll get posted eventually.

You know, my director thinks we should set up a Web cam. I don’t think he thought about using it for the hawks, though. He might go for that.
Is that dead squirrel still in your front yard? Perhaps I could get rid of it for you, though I don’t think it’s fresh enough for my new friend.
The aggregator upgrade Dave Winer did for us a while ago also lets us comment from the aggregator. It’s awfully convenient, but it takes away some of the fun.
