Nice Public Library Parking Garage Decorations
The Kansas City Public Library in Missouri uses giant painted books to decorate their parking garage. The Kansass City Star article discusses how the books featured on the parking garage were chosen, lists them, and has a photo of Journal of the Expedition by Lewis and Clark on the parking garage. It really looks like someone wedged a giant book into the structure; it’s more of a sculpture than just a painting of the book. The chosen books are some classics as well as recent works by a variety of authors, like Zora Neale Hurston, Langston Hughes, Harper Lee, and Stephen Ambrose.
