The Future of Reference Services Presentation

The ResourceShelf points to this video presentation about rethinking reference services hosted by OCLC. It sounds interesting, especially since someone from 24/7 Reference, a type of virtual reference service, is on the panel, but I can’t get it to work on my computer. I’m not sure what kind of software it requires that I don’t have. Maybe one of you will have better luck.

I got it to work and managed to stay connected on my home computer, which pleasantly surprised me since I’m still using dial-up. Diane Kresh from the Library of the Congress is the first speaker up and I was trying to think where I’d heard that name before.
A-ha! She gets a lot of mention in Nicholson Baker’s “Double Fold.” I’m reading that right now as part of my research for a paper I’m writing about the cataloging of newspapers and the United States Newspaper Program.
