Six Academic Publishers and NetPacks Settle Over Illegal Electronic Distribution

A Texas copy shop owner created and distributed digital course packs without proper copyright clearance to University of Texas at Austin students. Six academic publishers sued him in January. The parties recently settled out of court. The action could be the first dealing with electronic distribution of unauthorized course packs.
