BloggerCon Dinner was Great!
I met a few new people, got to catch up with Kris Liberman (a really cool librarian who knits, works at Fidelity, and might read this blog), talked to another librarian who may be in the audience of the Librarianesque Session, sat across from Steve, who is featured on page 98 of an issue of Time magazine for video blogging, and spoke a smidge of German. Even though a common perception of a blogger is a young person, many of the 70 people at dinner seemed to be middle-aged white men.
Those people who went home early to blog about dinner missed an impromptu concert by the Accordion Guy near Quincy Market. He played some really great songs until a security guard kicked us all out of the public area. I guess the drunk college students breakdancing to the music made him nervous. Breakdancing drunk college students = anarchy somewhere, right? (I swear they weren’t part of the group that met for dinner at Durgin Park.)
The roast pork I ate was definitely not as good as the roast pork I cook.
Thanks, Sooz, for all your hard work on the arrangements for this gathering!
