Librarianesque Session at BloggerCon Info
This is a hodge podge of stuff about Saturday morning’s Librarianesque Session.
The discussion happens in room 202 of Pound Hall at the Harvard Law School campus from 10:30 until 11:45 am. If you did not register in advance for the conference, you will not be allowed to attend. There is no on-site registration.
The Webcast is on, supposedly. Information about how to tune in will be posted on the Webcast page of the BloggerCon blog. The audio file should be archived there after the session, too. If possible, I will post the link to the Webcast in this space, but no guarantees because I don’t know if I will have a chance to do so between sessions or while moderating this one. Addendum: The location of the Webcast is: rtsp://real3.udc.advance.net/encoder/bloggercon/pound202.rm.
The IRC channel is irc.freenode.net/bloggercon202. This channel is for other sessions in that room, too. IRC information for other sessions is on the Webcast page linked from above.
sj is scheduled to be the primary monitor and Sun is his backup. At least one of them will be on IRC to help those of you tuning in remotely contribute to the session. Please feel free to ask questions, comment, or otherwise add to the discussion in the room. People in the room may also be on IRC.
I began the session blogroll with the few people who already told me they’d be there or try really hard to be there. I’m happy to add remote participants to the list, too.
Dutch-treat, on-your-own lunch follows the session. I am happy to lead a group of people to some lunch place, probably the Chinese food cart where a tasty meal runs $5-7.
Yes, I will blog other sessions I attend besides this one. I am scheduled to monitor Blogging in Academia and Blogging as a Business. I will probably attend Visions from Users, too.

Relay from J: the Webcast is not working — apologies for that… We do have some IRC comment in progress, though.

If you don’t do IRC, feel free to post questions here and I’ll check the comments off and on…

Apparently the Webcast was working. It was my understanding at the beginning of the session that it was not.
