A Friend Wants to Go to Iraq to Blog
This item is going to seem off topic, so please let me explain why I’m posting this here before you stop reading.
I know Critt Jarvis through blogging and the Thursday night group that meets at Harvard’s Berkman Center for Internet & Society. He has been doing a lot related to blogging the conflict in Iraq because he believes the entire story of what’s happening over there is not being adequately told. Since some of you might be interested in the blogging of the war, ways to learn more about what’s happening over there, and potential sources for journalists about the war and events in Iraq, I’m including notice of his plan and perhaps some follow-up posts in this space. He’s a good man, someone whose reports I would consider to be reliable and trustworthy. He told me about his plan to go over there last night.
Critt wants to go over before the handoff in June to blog what’s happening over there. He asks simply what those of us who can read his blog, but can’t or won’t go to Iraq ourselves, want to know about what’s happening. If he goes, what would we like him to blog? If you’re interested, please comment on his blog (linked above).
