That’s something I hadn’t considered until reading Vernica’s blog tonight. Since I don’t work in a library, I guess it never occurred to me that my librarian action figure might be unhappy just standing on top of the computer on my desk near her books.

I think it depends on the work environment. My librarian action figure is in an environment where everyone around her is working with books and papers and the like, so she needs books and maybe some miniature Hollinger boxes to fit in. Your work environment is very different. Your action figure, perhaps, needs a tiny computer or some other tools appropriate for a news librarian. After all, since all librarians are not the same, all librarian action figures (and their accessories) should not be the same

She’s mounted on top of my monitor with her hand raised in a shushing position looking right at me. I guess that’s from me singing along with a CD yesterday.
Wait, you mean she could be perfectly happy on her perch with some toy lizards and a caterpillar? I’ll ask her. She didn’t answer, just shushed me again. Oh well.

I think she should rock a Marc Jacobs bag. Librarian action figures can afford those right?
Mine is poised directly above my Bob Wills stamp magnet on the fridge, and soon my Ozzie bobbly head from a Yankee swap gone bad will join ‘em.
