Responsibilities of an Orkut Community Creator
Before I created a community on Orkut, I went through the FAQs to learn what the responsibilities of a community creator were. I didn’t find anything that really answered my question, so I contacted Orkut to see if I could get a better answer. Their response was to ask me to make sure there wasn’t already a community for what I wanted and to let me know that community creators become moderators of the community. When I created the community, I learned a little bit more about what is expected of me. I’m sharing these things here in case anyone else has considered creating a community, but decided not to because s/he didn’t know what the responsibilities would be. I can invite people to join the community and remove them once they’ve signed up. I can also delete the community and transfer ownership, which I think is a very nice option. I can delete events, topics, and messages, too.
