New Stuff on the Scratchpad
I added some new navigation links and a category to this blog today. If you scroll down far enough, you’ll notice a list of recent posts on the side navbar. It’s a Manila macro that does it. I noticed it on the Dowbrigade the other day and got inspired. Since it’s a macro, I don’t seem to be able to change the font or style, so the links don’t match the rest of my navbar. I’m trying to decide if I like it enough to leave it, if I’m going to change the style of my navbar, or delete the list. What do you think?
My new category is Professional Development. At first, it made sense to create that department. When I started populating it, though, things got tricky because I link to a lot of professional development resources. Here’s the scope note: I’m mainly going to use it for meetings and other professional development programs. Articles will still primarily be filed into their subject categories (e.g. articles about blogging will go under Blogging, etc.). Maybe I need a different subject heading. (I’m trying not to put too much thought in it, but since I, well, index, it’s difficult not to think about it too much.)
(See, S? Indexing can indeed get tricky.)
