Nancy Pearl Retires

"This week Pearl, the country’s most famous librarian (there are no candidates for second place), is retiring from her job as director of the Washington Center for the Book at the Seattle Public Library."

Nancy is the model for the librarian action figure. I had the honor of hearing her speak in April. She’s made many fabulous contributions to librarianship and books and certainly encouraged many people to read. Best wishes, Nancy, and congratulations!
