Reminder: You can Edit Your Comments on this Blog
James, who’s used to writing on wikis, commented “I wish I could edit that entry but this isn’t a wiki, so I’m stuck.” He is incorrect: members of this blog can edit their comments. Manila, the blog program running on Harvard’s server, allows blog members to edit their comments. Details on how to join the blog and edit comments are linked above.
Of course, if you’re really worried about losing control of what you write on other people’s blogs, you could start your own blog and blog there. Then, you can comment on someone else’s blog by giving them a pointer to what you wrote.

Thanks for the correction. It does seem that I’ll end up creating a business blog.

I seem to recall a discussion about this the other month… involving evil manipulation of the comments of others. And what’s this about a business blog? Whose business is that?

Evil manipulation of the comments of others, eh? Would that be something like evil replacement of one person receiving an award at the UN with another person receiving the award or digital image manipulation?:)
For those who don’t know, the Wikipedia Received a Golden Nica community prize in 2004 and the presentation was at the UN in New York City. sj is a joker and played a joke on the person who actually received the prize on behalf of the Wikimedia Foundation.
A business blog as opposed to a personal blog. I have a personal blog already, with a little business in it, but it’s not filtered sufficiently for a serious businesss blog like those here – too much personal and off topic chat. So I have in mind something covering the day to day copyright and technical issues of the Wikimedia projects. Something a potential employer might read to find out how much I know about online communities, MySQL, programming and IP law, since I’ll be job hunting soon.
