Another Really Nice Compliment
A blogger whose blog I enjoy reading told me privately that he thinks some of my posts are well-written.
Well-written.
Since he’s someone like me who likes to mix kidding and sarcasm with his normal speech, I had to ask him if he was serious. He looked at me funny and admitted that he was.
Well-written.
I wonder which ones he likes.
I’m trying not to let it go to my head, but the words mean a lot to me, especially coming from him, someone with editorial experience who is easily one of the most intelligent people I know.
Well-written.
::genuflects in gratitude::
Addendum: My sometimes witty journalism professor friend Bob Stepno e-mailed me to say “I’m teaching punctuation lately and feeling like all the stuff I do is ‘well, written.’” There’s nothing quite like having a good chuckle because of BS.

Between various high-karma jobs as a journalist and technical writer, I did print some cards introducing myself as “‘BS Public Relations…” with a company motto: “Not the usual PR BS.” (Yes, this is mostly a test of the “comment” system, which has been exhibiting questionable behavior over on my other blog.)

Seems to work fine here. Bizarro. Could just be my squirrley computer or my knack for finding bugs.

… and fine from the PC at my office and the Mac at home. Tried with Firefox, Explorer and Safari. Must be a Hahvahd thang. Anyone else using Radio with the Berkman/Manila comment server? Maybe one of Dave’s special pages that have comments? Andrew dabbles in Radio, but his comment system has some extra features (”preview,” “remember personal info?”) that suggest it’s a different database. Incidentally see this:
