Librarian.net is Feedster Feed of the Day!
Librarian.net is Feedster Feed of the Day! Congratulations, Jessamyn!
Addendum 9/18: I guess I should tell the backstory to this blog post ’cause it’s kinda cool. While I was giving my blog talk, I showed the audience Feedster. I happened to notice Librarian.net was Feed of the Day. I asked the audience if anyone was familiar with the blog. No one admitted they were. I gave a quick tour of it. I also mentioned meeting Jessamyn through blogging as an example of how blogs can foster networking and community. And, of course, I told them she’s a really cool librarian. Seeing the Wired article about her Friday was quite timely.
I told the audience they just saw how I find blog fodder and decide what to post in action. Much later in the presentation, I had the opportunity to demonstrate how to make a blog post and this post is from that demonstration.
For all I know, the folks at Feedster were paying attention to when I was going to do my talk and selected a librarian blog to highlight to entice my audience into returning to use their product. I casually mentioned that I’ve met some of the Feedster folks through blogging and impressed someone.
Oh, Scott, if a bunch of librarians flood you with the suggestion of linking to the Feed of the Day archives from Feedster’s front page, I had nothing to do with it. ; )
Addendum: Jessamyn would like to see her hand-coded feed from jessamyn.com be Feed of the Day.
(Thanks, Scott R! Now I feel like all the Feedster people are watching me. ::waves nervously::)

I actually saw the Wired piece and suggested librarian.net as FOTD because of that. Librarians as a group have been so supportive of us that we try to return it in the ways we can.
