Students Rock!
I had a great time talking to library and information science students today. About ten came out to hang with me on the Union Terrace. No better place to be than that, for sure.
A few asked about my professional experience, job, recommended courses, and professional development activities.
I realized when one asked what courses I found particularly valuable that I forgot to mention how I wished I would have taken sailing at the university. Plenty of sailboats were out on the lake, including the spotted one. I couldn’t help kicking myself a few times hard for not being more proactive about that.
Someone asked me how my post-graduate life compares with my time as a student. All I could do was gaze at the lake. I couldn’t think of a response.
