Happy BlogACatMas!
BlogACatMas is a holiday celebrating people who blog about their cats by encouraging everyone to post a picture of a cat on their blog. I missed the announcement of this holiday earlier in the week, so I am unprepared. I don’t think I have any digital photos of my cats. (Yes, it’s true that I don’t have a digital camera.) Perhaps I will remember to grab some photos and scan them in when I have access to a working scanner. And maybe one of my blogging rules should be not posting photos of my cats on my blog (like anyone out there wants to know anything about my cats anyway), kinda like how I don’t post photos of me in this space.
I know a blogger or two who might appreciate and make good use of this holiday, regardless of what any blog developers might say in public forums about people who blog about their cats. (I mean that last clause in a teasing way, of course.)
This isn’t as tangential as it seems. There’s that stereotype about librarians owning cats … librarians blog … some blogging librarians surely own cats … Okay, it’s a stretch. I’m all about equal opportunity. Is there a BlogADogMas? (That has a better ring to it.)
Addendum: I’m wearing my cat tie and cat pin in honor of the holiday today.
I figured it wouldn’t be too difficult to get another blogger to post a photo of his cat. Look how fuzzy it is! My goodness, I hope that’s a yawn, but I have my doubts. Something about a cat in a vehicle that just makes me think it’s a bad scene. Now I have "Glistening white triangular tooth/Open up a can of tomato juice" floating through my head.
The Redhead posted a picture with a Halloween party theme.
Okay, for the one of you who wants to see bad art, I posted an image on moose’s orchard.
