I'm anal about making the differentiation between the types of feeds. I find it confuses people, especially people new to feeds, to call everything RSS when there are really two kinds of feeds. Since many aggregators don't treat them as equals, I still try to make the distinction.

I keep hoping for the day when I can get RSS feeds for some of my blogs without going through a third-party solution.</description>

I use RSS interchangeably with ATOM.  Maybe I shouldn't do that.  I should just call them feeds.  Feedster will handle all feeds: RSS, Atom, whatever.</description>
