Two More Reasons Why Librarians Rock, or Examples of Instant Librarians
I mentioned to a librarian I planned to go to his library to take advantage of the wireless Internet access because I have a lot of online work to do. He told me the library’s been having problems with its wireless and he wasn’t sure it was working. He called me before I went to let me know it wasn’t working. That’s amazing service. My local librarians rock!
(What would be really cool is if they offered a feed or notification service letting their customers know when wireless is down.)
Some librarians are kind enough to assist others with technical problems, like adding a search feature to a blog. (You’re welcome!) I’ll post details on how to do it later because there’s a trick that’s not documented in the instructions.
