Where’s the Feedster Developer Contest Entry Form?
Josh: “I wonder if the first challenge of the feedster developer contest is finding a way to submit your entry.”
I wondered this earlier. In a conversation with Scott Johnson, he revealed that the deadline for the contest has been extended to “12 noon pst on 12/14/2004,” which may be one reason why the form hasn’t appeared yet. Someone was supposed to post the deadline change on one of the myriad blogs associated with Feedster, but I haven’t found the update there yet. Scott gave me permission to spread the news. (Hhhmmm … maybe Feedster should hire me as a blogger, especially since I seem to be writing about them incessantly lately.*)
Yes, the new date and time are real. No, I’m not just saying the time and date have changed so my wimpy entry might actually have a chance of getting an iPod. I can’t comment on whether the change in the deadline has anything to do with the lack of an entry form.
Anyway, I think it’s very kind of Scott to extend the deadline. I’ve been so busy testing some submissions (Keep sending them in! I’ve got more time now!), I haven’t had as much time to work on mine as it needs. I figured it would be a 2-3 hour project. Heh. Boy, did I underestimate!
*No, I’m not looking for another job. This line is intended to make one of my blog readers snicker, another to groan, and a third to say “Heh.” Besides, I’d only blog for Feedster on the side, which is legal.
Addendum: Scott officially announces the contest deadline extension and acknowledges that he’s been too busy to finish the entry form.
Addendum 12/7: The entry form is now available.

So I guess I stayed up until 5AM for nothing. Its like showing up for an exam only to learn the prof is a no show and you have another week to study. Atleast I get to improve some of my entries and maybe add a few more.
