Another Wikipedia Vandalism Experiment

As sj points out, some Cornell students vandlized Wikipedia to test their correction process. Other people have tried similar experiments. Most of the Cornell students’ erroneous information was reverted very quickly. One falsification they did not reveal seems to have survived at least until their column went into print. (Do any of you Wikipedians happen to know what that falsification is/was and if it still exists?)

After slamming the efforts of the Wikipedians, then learning how closely they watch over the encyclopedia, the columnist writes:

"But on the less-than-bright side … these really are the best and brightest of humanity. They’ve got DSL. And grammar. And encyclopedic, albeit utterly useless, depths of knowledge. It’s horrible, but true: when ekOeOfhOpe and dArK_RaVeN and Sparky and Evercat are found rotting in their apartments, it will be their inferiors who have repopulated the earth in their own sweaty image. Ooh. Not so chipper anymore."
