My Feedster Developer Project
I’m just about finished with my Feedster Developer Contest entry. It morphed from an option that seemed reasonable into a giant project, perhaps because I tried to be way too thorough with it. It’ll be good to finish it so I can return to the rest of my life. Frassle’s getting jealous, I have two new projects vying for my spare (ha!) time, and I still haven’t finished my notes from the Votes, Bits, & Bytes conference.
I hoped to turn in multiple entries, but my schedule has just been way too full, busy, and hectic for me to even feel like what I’m going to hand in is really complete to my standards, let alone try to attempt something else. I saw other people have already entered in that category anyway and I don’t think I can compete with their entries.
A friend of mine jokingly told me he entered a project similar to mine. I told him I wasn’t worried because I knew enough about his work to know mine would be better. ; )~
I warned Scott that since the contest is winding down and I plan to send in something, the improbability nexus might hit Feedster. The server isn’t responding to my browser now. I was going to finish up some stuff and look at the list of submissions tonight. I’m sure it’ll be back soon. For all I know, it’s just not letting me in. [Indeed, an hour-and-a-half later, it seems to be back up.]
“Teacher, I couldn’t submit my homework because the server was down.”
I put a backup copy of my project on another server just to be safe. This computer isn’t exactly the most stable machine, either. /me knocks wood.
Addenda: I just submitted my contest entry, complete with bug reports. ::crosses fingers::
Wow. I got another entry in at the nudging of another contestant. I felt sorry for the RSS tutorial category since no one had done one. Of course, I included Atom feeds in mine, too, so maybe that’ll disqualify me …
