Wikipedia or the Wikipedia?

After giving an update about recent Wikipedia news, sj, who wonders how his feed magically became known as the “Wiki Hut of Horror,” explores whether Wikipedia/the Wikipedia should be referred to as Wikipedia or the Wikipedia. I prefer Wikip myself, but have been told that’s improper.

Newslib has a New URL

It looks like the URL for Newslib, the discussion list for the Special Libraries Association News Division, has a new URL: http://lists.unc.edu/read/?forum=newslib. Access may be restricted to subscribers only. It’s possible to search the list’s archives and manage accounts via this Web site. Barbara Semonche, Newslib’s manager, provides more information about the list.
