A Hawk is on my Balcony
A red tailed hawk is on my railing of my office’s balcony. When I went to open the curtains, I noticed a large dark shape on the railing. It’s one of the few places s/he can perch that is not in the line of falling snow. How lucky for me!
I want to open the curtains to get a better look, but I don’t want to startle him/her more than I already have.
Geez, I almost brought my camera with me today because of the snow and I didn’t. ::kicks self:: More encouragement for me to get a digital camera–
(Anyone want to have a snowball fight in the yard?)
Addenda: I got the curtains open. They make noise and s/he can see into my office, so I had to do it very carefully. Anytime I got close, s/he’d look over at me and watch what I was doing.
Pardon me while I sit in awe for a moment.
S/he’s about ten feet away from me.
*Poof!* S/he’s gone!
Maybe s/he’ll return if s/he doesn’t find a better spot out of the weather.
