LIS Curriculum Article in American Libraries

Some blog readers and I noted it’s been a while since I’ve written anything about library school. The January American Libraries came in the mail today, complete with a preview of the ALA conference that just ended. It also has the article “Critiquing the LIS Curriculum” by one of my LIS professors, Wayne Wiegand. I tried to find it online and failed. I’ll have to take a look at it.

I read Wayne Wiegand’s essay – it seemed like a tidy summary of the intro/foundations class I took from him a couple years back, right down to the Douglas Zweizig quote. I’ll be interested to know what you think.
