Hooray, Angelica!
I was totally thrilled to see a note on Newslib today from Angelica Cortez announcing her new position at the Palm Beach Post. Congratulations and best wishes!
Angelica used to write about her quest for a job in a news library on Journey for a Wannbe, but unfortunately, that blog met with a sad death. She is now turning her energy toward a column in News Library News, the newsletter of the News Division of the Special Libraries Association. I wonder if the Palm Beach Post has a different policy about staff members blogging.
It’s a tough job market out there right now for news librarians because of the state of the economy. I know many people who have been looking for work for more than a year.
