Mood Indicators in E-mail?
The tech guru upgraded my work e-mail client. The first thing I noticed were clusters of peppers near some of the subject lines. It seems that the software looks for certain potentially offensive words and uses the peppers to indicate messages with questionable language. But the messages they were marking don’t have any offensive language in them. I wonder what it doesn’t like about Newslib* or the clips I distribute each morning since they have giant clusters by them. Some people play games with Mood Watch. I turned it off, but I still see the indicators on the messages.
I also stumbled across why Eudora is named for Eudora Welty. She and I went to the same university, though not at the same time.
*I am trying so hard to refrain from making any comments about peole whose names might have something to do with peppers. I was having extra pepper with my e-mail before Alice Pepper’s award was publicized on Newslib.
