Updated Feedster Searching Doc
I /finally/ gave up some sleep to finish updating the documentation I wrote for Feedster’s Developers Contest. I’ve been meaning to do that since early January. I can’t believe I’ve just been sitting on it for a month while my life has been whirring by.
François Schiettecatte, one of Feedster’s cofounders, met with me so we could talk about some of the search features and issues I identified while working on the documentation. I’m going to ask him to look over a version better suited for Feedster’s use one more time just to make sure neither of us overlooked any of the changes, then if it’s good, they might put it on Feedster as the documentation for using the search engine.
Wow.
Pretty nifty, eh?
I wonder if I can get my Mom to hang it on the fridge, too.
I should put it in my portfolio and add it to my resume.
François and I talked about a lot of really cool things I’d like to blog, but I’m really tired (as you can tell by the copious writing I’ve done tonight), so that’ll have to wait.
I will say that it was nice to see I’m not the only one who has problems or causes problems searching Feedster and I’m also not the only one whose browsers don’t know what to do with Feedster’s redesign. I noticed an item in my aggregator this morning (how’d it get there anyway?) announcing that Feedster was down for a while. I beat it up pretty badly while working on the documentation and saw plenty of error messages saying things were e-mailed to tech support. (Whoever that is, my apologies.)
