Skype, Part 2
We tested Skype with me using a higher-speed connection. We still experienced about a two second delay. My friend kept accusing me of talking over him, but on my end, I wasn’t talking until he had finished speaking.
He definitely sounded better. Much of the background noise I heard last night wasn’t there and his voice was considerably less digital.
I wasn’t using headphones this time. He seems to prefer it when I use headphones because then he can’t hear his own voice.
He could hear me fine.
We tried transferring a file via Skype, but decided not to because it was prohibitively slow (.3 to .5 KB/second). We also tried to transfer the file using various options in AIM, but that didn’t work, either.
Addendum 2/11: The first test was with me on a dial-up connection.
