On & Off the Record Blogging
The animated discussion at Thursday’s weblog writer’s group explored issues related to blogging things that are on and off the record and how to determine whether something’s on or off the record. It proved difficult to talk about those issues without talking about how journalists handle the record. Somewhat detailed notes are available on the Thursday Meetings at Berkman Blog linked above.
The presence of a crew from Nightline, who said it’s okay for us to say they were there, made for a very interesting meeting. Rumor has it their piece on blogging might air on Monday.
Updated: Nightline’s schedule has changed. They aren’t sure when they’ll be airing their piece on blogging.
