Someone talk me out of this.

I plan to start blogging on a fourth platform, mostly as a way to test some blog software to determine if it might be worth using in the blogging course I’m teaching at the Special Libraries Association Annual Conference in June.

I just have to remember where the guy said it was on the Web …

You shouldn’t do that. At the SLA conference you can instead use it as an example of how easy it is to find blogging software and how useful it is to have recommendations from others to assist in identifying those most worth investing the time to evaluate and use.

Instead, you should evaluate the use of a wiki as blogging software. One like MediaWiki, with good organising tools.

    An ulterior motive? Me?:)

Heh. Nice try, but that wasn’t the “talk me out of this” I was looking for.

The course is on. It’s going to be about blogging with some hands-on experience.

Maybe next year, someone will offer a course on wikis.

Testing is fine, if that’s all it is; otherwise, remember those two little words: Pluff mud
