The myserious Instant Karma Girl* tagged me to answer some questions about reading.
What was the last book you read or are reading?
Answering this question will ruin my reputation as someone who never reads. I am currently working on four books:
- Winter and Night by S.J. Rozan
- Star Rover by Jack London
- Skin Tight by Carl Hiaasen
- Rough Justice by Lisa Scottoline
I can’t remember which book I finished first of the last two I finished: The Wolves in the Walls or Kaffir Boy in America. I finished both of them within the last ten days.
Where did it come from (library, bookstore, gift, etc.)?
All came from libraries except Skin Tight and The Wolves in the Walls, which were gifts. (Thank you!)
How many books do you read per year?
To preserve my reputation, I admit I don’t spend a lot of time reading books. I usually read about one a month, so about twelve a year.
What is your favorite genre?
I read a lot of mysteries because the group I’m in reads mysteries. They could be my favorite genre, but I also enjoy books about World War II and military history and science fiction.
Who will you tag now?
I think v will enjoy the survey, though I know she’s not blogging too much these days. I’d also be quite interested in Jay McCarthy’s and sj’s responses, though I’m not sure sj will take the bait.
*I’m sure if I really wanted to, I could figure out the myseterious Instant Karma Girl’s identity, but since I have a feeling she wants to be anonymous, I don’t think I’ll dig around to discover who she is and/or reveal her name. She seems to be new to the blogosphere. Welcome!
Addendum 3/15: I finished Winter and Night Monday evening. Now I’m only reading 3 books. I prefer to read one at a time.
Addendum 4/8: I forgot about Agatha Christie: An Autobiography. I started it last May and am just getting back to it now that I’ve finished the four books on the list above.
