Sifry’s State of the Blogosphere

David Sifry of Technorati shares his report on the blogosphere.

  1. His first installment focuses on the increasing number of weblogs.

  2. The second part discusses the growth in the number of posts.
  3. The growing authority of weblogs shows shifts in the blogs vs. mainstream media debate. Sifry provides some very nifty interactive charts showing linking and conversations among weblogs. It’s possible to zoom in (control + click on a Mac) to see the blog names. (If anyone can decipher the names of any librarian/library weblogs in the jumble, please let me know. I skimmed the clutter, but couldn’t make any out. I recognized a few other weblogs, though.)

Here’s something else a reader elbowed me to blog.
