Guidelines for Submitting Items to Me
Okay, so now I’m starting to get e-mails and such from a variety of people asking me to write about certain topics or post about things.
I appreciate people bringing things to my attention they think I’d appreciate, but may not stumble across.
I’m not going to write about something just because someone asks me to. The things I’ve been posting lately at the suggestion of readers fall within the scope of this weblog. There are many topics in journalism and librarianship that I don’t think are appropriate for this space. I try to focus on things of particular interest to news librarians and things that fall into the categories on the sidebar. If you aren’t sure whether it’s something you should request or not, take a look around. Try to figure out if it’s something about which I’ve written before.
If you suggest something that I don’t think is relevant to this weblog and its audience and decide not to blog it, please don’t be offended.
