WSJ on Wikicities

How timely to spot this Wall Street Journal article about Wikicities on beSpacific after talking about it at last night’s Wikipedia meetup.

I like the point Charlene Li of Forrester Research makes, on which Vauhini Vara builds:

"’A wiki is only as good as the group is.’ To work well, it must attract a large group of users who know enough about the topic to add useful information and, perhaps more importantly, recognize inaccuracies."

I chuckled when I saw the discussion about whether About.com and Wikipedia are competitors since I joked about it last month.
