Internet Access at SLA Annual Conference Hotels

So, I finally remembered I need to make a reservation for a room for the SLA Annual Conference and realized those days when I could pick a place based on proximity to the conference and the News Division suite and price are over. I also need to know whether the hotel offers Internet access. I was just going to scribble my notes on a piece of paper, but I realized others probably want to know this information, too.

The Fairmont Royal Hotel, conference and News Division Suite headquarters, charges 12.95 per 24-hour period for Internet access in their rooms.

The Holiday Inn Toronto-On King offers high-speed Internet access in their rooms. I could not find information on their Web site about whether there’s a charge for that.

The InterContinental Toronto Centre has free Internet access in their rooms.

The Novotel Toronto Center has a high-speed transmission lines in the rooms.

The Renaissance Toronto Hotel at SkyDome offers wired and wireless connections. The site doesn’t say if they charge for the wired connection in the room or wireless access in the public areas of the hotel.

The Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel charges for Internet access in the rooms, but their site doesn’t say how much. They also charge for Internet access in their business and conference facilities.

Corporate rooms at the Strathcona Hotel receive a wireless signal through Telus Mobility, which charges for the service. A week of service is 25 Canadian dollars.

The Westin Harbour Castle also charges for room Internet access and in the business center.

I meant to look at which hotels offered free local calls, but I don’t remember seeing any notes that any one did. Maybe I’ll check again later.

Addendum 5/21: The SLA conference weblog points here.
