Wendy’s Resume on a Wiki

The lovely and talented Wendy Koslow, who’s been a joy to know and work with during the last…however long I’ve been blogging and would certainly bring a lot of good and cool stuff to any work environment, is using a wiki as a resume tool to help her search for a job in Canada.

I like the idea of using a wiki for it all just because when I try to dust off my resume, I always forget stuff to stick on it, like presentations, papers, and awards (both of them). The idea of posting it publicly so that others can remind me of something is great. It’s also probably a good way to get general feedback, like “j, you use the phrase ‘Provide reference assistance’ in all of your blurbs. Can’t you expand your vocabulary?”

Sorry, Wendy. I don’t think I have anything to add because David Weinberger said it all: “You would be a fool – a fool, I tell you! – not to hire her.”

I’m waiting for the colloquialism “on a stick” to change to “on a blog” or “on a wiki.” “That’s better than x on a wiki!” “That’s cooler than x on a blog!”
