Lisa Williams wants to lead a session about citizen journalism at next Thursday’s blog group meeting (April 14). It should be pretty good. She’s invited some well known journalists to participate.
It’d be great to have some Wikinews folks in on the discussion.

Yahoo! to Provide Hosting for Wikipedia in Asia

Jamesday indicates on Slashdot that Yahoo! is donating hosting support for Wikipedia.
From the Wikimedia Foundation’s press release linked above:

LoC, NEH Announce National Digital Newspaper Program Grants

As part of an effort to build a database of newspapers in the public domain, the National Endowment for the Humanities and Library of Congress announce grants to four universities and two libraries for work on digitizing selected American newspapers published between 1900 and 1910.
