So … Today’s my blogiversary.

About two years ago, someone brought Dave Winer to my office so he could talk to me about blogging and what he was doing at Harvard to get people interested in blogging. Within a few days, I set up a blog in this space. The following day, I made my first real blog post.

During the last two years–and the last year especially–I’ve noticed some unforeseen benefits of blogging. I’ve met a lot of people around the globe through my weblog. I’m much better informed about issues in my profession, including things I probably still wouldn’t know anything about. I’ve become somewhat of an expert on blogging to some of my colleagues. I’ve shown many people what they can do with weblogs and feeds and how to blog. Stats indicate more than 4,200 people subscribe to this weblog’s main feed. Hourly hits average between 200 and 600.

When I started two years ago, I had no idea what I was getting into or that I’d still be doing the hobby two years later while contributing to 15 different weblogs.

Your blog has always centered on topics and issues that I’m passionate about and I’ve learned so much since I started reading it over a year ago. Happy blogiversary!!!
