Getting the Social Networking Tools
I haven’t done anything with my Orkut account in forever. I was a little surprised to find that it’s still there. Probably a good thing since I founded the News Librarianship community.
I’ve been meeting a lot of people in various social situations lately. Just for fun, I decided to look one of them up. Yep, he’s there. Glancing at the window showing a few friends’ photos, I recognized some faces.
Now I find myself once again too shy to send out friend invites, considering what to do about a photo, pondering if I should use Orkut strictly for professional purposes or if it’s okay to mix friends and business, and wondering what happens if I add someone as a friend, then decide to delete the person later. Maybe this is too complicated for me while I’m sleep deprived.
