Representative Pushes for USA PATRIOT ACT “Library Provision” Renewal

North Carolina Republican Representative Howard Coble, chairman of the Crime, Terrorism, and Homeland Security Subcommittee of the House Judiciary Committee, expressed support for renewing Section 215, the “library provision,” of the USA PATRIOT ACT so law enforcement agents can access library records after obtaining permission from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act Court.
