Nominated for Who’s Who in America
I received forms to submit my biography to Marquis Who’s Who in America. This is the real deal, not a cousin. It’s real in the sense that if I make it through the weeding process, libraries around the world could have a brief bio of me sitting on their shelves for perpetuity. My office even buys these books. Geez!
What’s really funny is that my first thought is “I don’t want my biography out there where everyone can easily read it. I’m a private person. That will make me feel uncomfortable.”
Which form of my name do I put the entry under?
I wonder if Marquis is considering a Who’s Who in the Blogosphere.
Of course, I called my Mom immediately. (”Hi, Mom. Happy Mother’s Day! I’m not mailing your card on time, but I got nominated for Who’s Who in America! I love you!”)

Congratulations. You’ve been selected as a dupe who may pay $500 for a vanity publication. Whoop-de-doo.
