TypePad
I wrote my first post for the SLA Conference Blog. It’s on TypePad, so I also, coincidentally, made my first post on that platform. It’s nice how similar the posting screens are to other platforms I use. What’s confusing is that the button labeled Save is really the button to post. Since several platforms I use allow the saving of draft posts, I wondered what that button really did when I didn’t see another button labeled Post. Luckily, I guessed correctly and posted a completed entry instead of a draft of it.
I look forward to posting on TypePad as much as I look forward to writing for the Special Libraries Association.
By the way, the time stamp on that blog seems to be off by a few hours [meaning it's not in the same time zone I am writing from (but then is anything?) or is reflected on the scratchpad].
PS–Trackbacks and comments automatically appear in one of my e-mail accounts. That’s not something I configured, but it sure is incredibly handy! I was thinking I’d have to monitor my posts manually.

Is it possible (probable?) that the time stamps are set for the wrong time zone–or for the time zone where the weblog is actually hosted? I believe that’s the case (the latter) for my own weblog…

Walt’s probably right.

You can choose Draft or Publish from the “Post Status” menu, and Save will work accordingly.
