Blogging for News: Introduction to Blogs and Feeds

Here is the outline for my presentation for the course Blogging for News.

There are about 35 people in the class–ten more than what we originally wanted. Most of the people in the room said they knew what blogging is. Only three people said they currently blog. A few are here because they think their organization will begin blogging soon. Most students do not use aggregators, but many read weblogs.

I finished speaking a little while ago. Liz Donovan is speaking about what she does with her weblogs and how she got started blogging now.

Addenda: Class went really well! Thank you to all of the people who crammed into our crowded course!

Sorry our paths didn’t cross at SLA. Glad to hear that your class went well. Assuming that you had no PCs for people to use, how did you like teaching without any hands-on? What were the pro’s and con’s?
