Where’d the Enclosures Blank Go?
During the blog class I taught on Sunday, I talked about enclosures. I went to the posting form for this weblog because there used to be a blank to share files via RSS enclosures only to discover the box is gone. It’s probably been gone for a while and I just noticed in class. Hee!

Maybe your settings were reset by a software upgrade or something? The prefs are here (add your site address at the beginning):
/admin/sitePrefs/default$newsItems
You can turn enclosures on or off and specify whether to upload them or link to them at another site. Let’s see whether it works by putting a square dance on the server…

Grr… I’m having problems uploading an MP3 file, either because of my home dialup (!) connection, or something to do with file and folder names (There are some spaces and punctuation in the folder names on my Mac, which might be a problem for the server.)
I’ll give up shortly, and try doing an enclosure the way I do with Radio Userland — resetting the prefs and giving the address of a file that is already on the server. That will be fireworks, not a squaredance, alas.

What can I say? I failed another intelligence roll. I didn’t even think to check the prefs. Since the box magically appeared one day, I guess I just figured it magically disappeared. Couple that with some other recent server changes and I just figured it was a server thing and not a blog thing.
Thanks, Bob!
PS–I pointed to your blog in the class on Sunday and Liz talked about South Knox Bubba. I swear that wasn’t planned. = )
