This Globe & Mail article about the 2005 Special Libraries Association Annual Conference has been circulating for a few days.
It claims 5200 people attended the conference.

Before the closing keynote, they announced their attendance count was 5273. Of that 1584 was “industry partner reps”

Ah…I see someone posted what I was going to say. And thanks, Richard, for the vendor count. I’m “old” enough to remember when there were 6,000 – 8,000 at the conference. I hope were get back to those numbers some day.
