Bizarro! Restoring a Vanished Post
I wonder what happened here: if my weblog ate a post and it doesn’t recognize that in the calendar or if something’s funky with the blog post so that it doesn’t appear properly. The calendar indicated there was a post on 11/11/2003, but when I tried to view it initially, I saw the blog heading, the horizontal rules, and the footer. No blog content.
I could view the post via the editing screen, but you probably can’t without proper privileges. It was intact.
A comment shows up as being -1 in the link and nothing in the comment window. I’m guessing it’s probably deleted comment spam. But why the missing post?
Digging through the discussion group, the admin options say it’s deleted, but it shouldn’t be. It’s odd that it shows up in the calendar still and I can get to it through a number of different ways if it has been deleted. Manila keeps deleted content, which is either a feature or misfeature depending on your perspective.
I’ve only deleted one blog post that I know of and this was not it.
Weird.
