Will Blog for Books
Recently, I’ve received two free books because of three of my weblogs. Those stories about people receiving free books because of a weblog must be true, right?
I downloaded a sneak preview of Business Blogs: A Practical Guide because I let one of the authors interview me twice about two weblogs. I am really looking forward to reading it and will blog more about it after the fact.
The other book came to me much more randomly. Someone found my very neglected knitting blog and e-mailed the site administrator about sending him a copy of a book. He forwarded the e-mail to me, figuring it was for my knitting blog. The publisher’s initial correspondence said nothing about me blogging in exchange for the book, but the letter that came with the book says:
"If you like our book, which we hope that you will, we would greatly appreciate it if you would ’spread the word’ about our book to others."
It’s a nifty book, but I’m not going to write about it here because it’s way too off topic. The publisher does happen to be part of the Thomson empire, though.
